The WINCHELSEA 2.2 (MkII) is a smaller version of the DIY Winchelsea 8 designed so the planks can be cut from a standard ply sheet and no need for scarfing. This new version has a flat keel plank instead of the plywood keel section which makes it easier to build. An optional keel can be added by attaching a length of timber to the bottom and adding a skeg. A very handy little boat carried easily on a roof rack of the average car. She will row, motor or sail and has plenty of room inside for a boat of this size.

The kit is marine plywood with a 6mm planked hull with 12mm transom and bulkheads. The bulkheads have the holes for the hatches pre-drilled (buoyancy tank option only). The hull is built using the "Clinker Plywood" method of construction over a simple build frame which quickly gives you the hull shape and then the laps are filled with epoxy.

Terms & Conditions

Kits are cut to order and a delivery collection time will normally be 7 - 14 days from date we receive payment. Supplier delays, which are beyond our control, can cause delays resulting in delivery times of up to 28 days. We always keep you informed of any delays
When you buy we will contact you and give you an expected delivery/collection date along with the delivery price. If you want us to deliver, payment must be made and cleared before the kit is dispatched.
It is sometimes the case that third party deliveries to us cause delays. This is beyond our control but we will inform you of any delays should this occur.
The prices quoted do not include delivery. We charge a £35 to most UK mainland but please contact us for prices for Highlands, Islands and International.
Email quotes are valid for 30 days from the date sent. Written quotes are valid 30 days from date on quote which is usually 3 days after date we send it. Any price increases will not be applied during the 30 days but any price reductions may be.
